This massive collection of royalty-free images is the world's fastest growing independent library. We feature Photographs, vector Illustrations, Flash files, and Video clips. Becoming a member is free, and there are never subscription fees or hidden costs.
Search for images from our library. Just enter the keyword in the Search box at the top. Use the Advanced search options to specify your search results, or Browse our categories to see related images. You can zoom in to images to see up-close details and preview video clips before you download.
Visit the Store to purchase Download Credits when you are ready to buy some images. Credits start as low as $1 each, with a minimum purchase of $13. Buy as many credits as you need; they become less expensive when you buy in bulk. Credits are valid for one full year from the date of purchase.
Then download the image you want for 1, 2, 4, or 6 credits, for xsmall, small, medium, and large files. Even larger resolution images are available, for 10 to 15 credits. Video clips are available for 10 to 50 credits. Every file has been inspected for quality and legal integrity.
Anyone can apply to contribute images to our collection. Click on the "Upload" link in the left hand navigation for a quick tutorial on iStockphoto's expectations and requirements. Then apply to become a photographer, illustrator, or videographer. When you are accepted, start uploading files, and earn royalties when your images are downloaded.

iStockphoto Referral Program
The iStockphoto Referral Program is here to keep our community growing. Review this short introduction to the Program, then click “I’m In” to participate. Just read and agree to the terms of the Program and then you will be off to the races, armed with site badges and links to create new iStockers. And get paid for your referrals.
What’s the Deal?
We're going to pay you ten bucks (US$10) each time a new member, referred by you, makes their first purchase. Use one of our site badges (available on the next page) and link yourself to iStockphoto. We keep track of people who follow your link and become members. When they complete the membership process and purchase their first credits online, we’ll deposit ten dollars into your iStock account.
What's the Catch?
There are a few "catches" of course. We wouldn't be a real company without them:
the referred purchaser must be a bona fide new member in order to qualify you for a fee;
the purchaser's cookies need to be enabled, for us to track the referral;
the new member must make their first credit purchase on-line within 14 days of clicking the link/badge (or the cookie will expire and we can't track it--phone and mail orders do not qualify);
there will be a brief lag (around three days) between the referred purchase and the deposit to your account;
if the purchase is bogus or is otherwise reversed, you won't get your referral fee;
you only get a referral fee for the first purchase by the new client;
you must review and agree to the terms and conditions of the Program; and
importantly, this Program is intended to generate personal or corporate referrals and not useless spam. We reserve the right to revoke anyone’s participation in the Program if we decide in our absolute discretion that you’re behaving badly.
